Just as the name itself evokes the originality and freedom of the first peoples of this land called Brazil, the CIRIBAÍ GROUP aims to deliver a show that prioritizes the spontaneity of improvisation, with a repertoire full of references to popular culture, original compositions and arrangements influenced by the Universal Music of Hermeto Pascoal! The group is in the pre-production phase of its first album. Everyone is fully dedicated to the music and continues the logic of weekly rehearsals, just like the Jabour school of Hermeto and his group, making this a happy encounter that transmits through its sonic expression the desire to combine their musical trajectories and honor Brazilian Instrumental Music!
About the group

About the show
Composed of bass, drums, guitar, and piano, Ciribaí presents the public with a vibrant concert marked by authentic compositions and arrangements created and honed by the group. Songs such as Cidade Coração (Paulio Celé), Som da Ilha (Itiberê Zwarg), and Do Monte vem a inspiração (Sá Reston) make up the show and are also part of the group's first album, to be released in 2024. Despite being a quartet, the members take turns on stage playing other instruments, adding melodica, viola caipira, flute, vocals, and percussion to the show. The rhythms of Boi, Maracatu, Frevo, Forró, jazz, classical music, and Brazilian instrumental music as a whole are major references, but the universal music of the genius Hermeto Pascoal is the most intense influence on the Ciribaí group. Two songs by the "wizard" further enhance this sonic experience: Acuri and Mestre Radamés.
